Obituary for Anna Pauline Moore

Anna Pauline Moore, 88, passed away at Sugar Creek Station in Franklin on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

She was born on May 16, 1930 in Oil City to Thomas W. and Irene (King) Griffith.

Pauline was a 1948 graduate of Oil City High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Home Economics Education.

She married the love of her life, Harold Homer Moore, on June 15, 1957; he preceded her in death in 1993.

Pauline was a farm woman through and through, being known at the local farmers market for over 41 years for her delicious baked goods. She was also a Home Economics teacher for Valley Grove School District and worked on a dairy farm.

Pauline lived every day of her life to the fullest. She was an active member of the Venango Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, serving as an Elder and a Deacon; was on the Pastor Nominating Committee; served on the Mission Foundation; and was a member of the Presbyterian Women's Association, where she received an Honorary Life Membership for many years of faithful service.

She also enjoyed baking, sewing, and gardening. Pauline was also a very active member of the church's cooking crew, where she cooked many meals for the events held there. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and all of the memories that they made together.

Pauline is survived by her 2 sons, John H. Moore and his wife, Trina, of Franklin, and James T. Moore and his wife, Jennifer, of Utica; her 2 daughters, Jane A. Moore of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Joyce A. Moore of Franklin; her 2 grandsons, James J. I. Moore and his wife, Marlena, of Franklin, and Aaron M. K. Moore of Stoneboro; her granddaughter, Jocelyn Sauer of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Thomas Harold Moore; her half-sister, Betty Gayetty; her sister-in-law, Violet Netzler Moore; and her brother-in-law, Milo J. Moore.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA, from 2 pm to 6 pm.
